Transportation

Norwalk Senior Center provides door-to-door transportation to and from the Center on two wheelchair-accessible vans for the safety and comfort of its members. Rides are intended for those sixty and older who wish to participate in our programs, classes, lunches or activities and cannot transport themselves.

Effective July 1, 2004 , all members using the bus will be charged at the rate of $60 per year. You have the option of paying this fee in one yearly payment of $60 or you may make monthly installments of $5 due by the 5th of each month.All bus passengers will receive a bus card which they must show the bus driver as they board the bus. Payment may be made at the 11 Allen Road reception desk where your bus card will be validated for each paid month.

Lunch Program

The Norwalk Senior Center and Norwalk Senior Center South are proud to announce a new food vendor for the Senior Cafe lunch program at both Allen Road and Cedar Street. We hope to improve the quality, taste and service offered in our lunchrooms. Our members say that we have hit a homerun with our new meal service. The requested donation is $3.oo. Any member experiencing difficulty with the donation should speak to a staff member. Financial assistance is available.
